I have been a primary therapist here at the Cove for the past two years and I can tell you that this program works if you're willing to work it. The staff care a great deal about the clients' well-being. In being given responsibility over their thoughts, feelings, and actions, clients learn to re-create and re-shape their lives in a very meaningful and powerful way. I have seen clients come out of our program changed for the better, no longer dependent on drugs and alcohol, but upon themselves and a sober support system they were able to build along the way. What we offer here at the Cove is unique. In small groups of about 8-10 people, clients engage in holistic modalities such as music therapy, yoga, and meditation as well as other therapeutic means to better cope with what they are going through. They will find a nice balance between therapeutic exercises as well as recreational outings such as the beach, kickball, surfing, and the gym. I highly recommend The Cove as a source of strength and value in your or your loved one's life and recovery.

After nearly 4 years of working here as a primary therapist, I have found so many things to appreciate about who we are as a treatment center, and what we offer to people who come seeking help. We offer a small, intimate, and effective setting for our patients to initiate and strengthen their own recovery. The people whom I work with one-on-one come to find that the process can be uncomfortable some of the time, but they find a way to lean in. With support, courage, and willingness you or your loved one will begin take responsibility for being the difference maker in their world. Get help, help someone, or both. We are ready when you are!

From my perspective as CEO, I am extremely happy with the Cove. Staff are attentive and caring. Small groups of 7 or 8 patients allow one to participate in the group process. The counselor schedules regular sessions and assists in formulating treatment goals. Weekly activities including the ocean and LA Fitness occur frequently. For a small drama -- free program, I highly recommend the Cove. We even do our own weekly shopping. Clients also cook the food purchased by the Cove in their private apartments. House keeping maintains apartments daily. Clients attend nightly AA/NA meetings.

I am Clean and Sober, living in NY City since December 2015. I came to the City to work as a Construction Manager at 237 East 34th Street. I worked for this Real Estate Developer since 2004. I am now the Resident Manager, living in the building. Most people in my life only know of the Great, Gold Standard DannyT. Please allow me to share my story with you. I am looking to share my story with people, in the hopes of saving lives, families, professions, marriages, etc... When the real estate market started collapsing in 2008, my life started to go off the Deep End. I started to drink alcohol day, and night. I started to use other drugs day, and night. Please allow me to honestly share with you the black hole that was my life, which was deeper then I could have ever envisioned: 1. Arrested for DUI in 2012; and 2. Arrested for DUI in 2013; and 3. Arrested for Driving with Suspended License in 2014; and 4. Charges dropped in a 2015 case where I completed Drug Court; and 5. Public Admonishment from the Florida Bar; and 6. 91 day Suspension from the Florida Bar. 91 days are over, am now in the process for Reinstatement; and 7. Loss of a job, and all income; and 8. Loss of all savings; and 9. Loss of all love and contact with family members; and 10: Loss of all love and contact with my children; and 11. Loss of respect from everyone; and 12. Loss of a great marriage. Etc.......................................... I spent 11 months of 2015 smoking crack, and drinking whiskey. I spent from December 11, 2015 (day I entered the Cove Center for Recovery), until today, and counting, putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. I am clean and sober 18 months. My AA/NA home group is the Mustard Seed at 122 east 37th street. I went almost 2 years without seeing my 3 children. I was in treatment and missed my middle sons Bar Mitzvah. You do not need to be bored with my war stories. I am back in contact with my children and family - taking life 1 day at a time. I basically started my life over again in moving to New York, and am building a great life in the city. In 2015, all HOPE was erased from my life. Today, my life is filled with HOPE. The initial glimmers of hope, which are now beams of hope, entered my life during my stay at the Cove Center for Recovery. I entered the Cove Center for Recovery a broken human being. Every aspect of my life was destroyed. I spent the next 30 days at the Cove learning to: forgive myself, live life on life's terms, understand addiction, and understand how to live life without the dependance on drugs and alcohol. I am proud of past accomplishments, including: youngest Councilman, Assistant Mayor, and Mayor of Bal Harbour, Florida; youngest President of the Miami-Dade County League of Cities; one of the youngest Board Members of the Florida League of Cities; volunteer for 9 years in the Big Brother/Big Sister Program, etc......... My life is far from perfect. However, I wake each morning, and go to sleep each night using all the tools learned at the Cove. Those important lessons learned enable me to live an amazing sober life - 1 day at a time.

While it wasnt what I expected when your in a state of mind where the only way youll stop using is if your promised jacuzzi's pools and everything...I myself wanted to run the first days but its the anxiety and the drugs leaving your body & all the damage the drugs has done to your brain....at the end I realized somethings have to be tough because not everything will be done for you at home like it was here I had the greatest staff members and youll learn that the best recovery is finding good people that think feel and are going through similar things. Although a grown man literally ran & clearly wasnt ready n idk if he believed theyd brainwash u not true my girlfriend at the time was a complete enabler and at the time i ended our relationship because she was ignoring her childs safety because her co-dependency on people. I am now 4 years sober....and as much terrible things i said and as much i tried to fight it. I ended up wanting to stay in florida but i had a little miracle niece come into my life that i would of never got to meet if it werent for the cove....the first day i got there a guy played an awesome cover of sublime for me and made me feel like everything would be cool. It was quite an adventure but you have to learn to live with people from all across the u.s and try to be nice and be there for the newer people & give people the encouragement instead of gossip and drama that addicts are used to & you will have the best times....as for the living conditions they were very nice n plus i remember the whole group having dinner together and having a great dinner. I looked at addiction so different after and didnt want it anymore.

I am an addict in recovery myself. So I take the process of finding recovery very seriously. The Cove is somewhere I would send my own little brother. I know the Staff and clinical directors here and see all that they put into their life's work, which is recovery. Finding the right center is not about how much it cost, where it is, or who's been there. It is knowing that the people overseeing your loved one's life and recovery are passionate about what they do. I would certainly say that The Cove is the right center for anyone looking to find long term recovery. I would recommend this center to anyone looking for the best levels of care.
